Hundreds of Children in Oconee County may not experience the joy of opening a gift on Christmas morning without the assistance of caring people like you.
Thank you for considering sponsoring a child – by doing so, you will be providing their entire Christmas. The typical gift package consist of an outfit, a new pair of shoes, socks, underwear and a couple of non-clothing items. This is just a guideline.
If you would prefer to only buy one or two items we gladly accept new, unwrapped gifts and will find the appropriate child for them – no sponsorship is necessary. Simply drop-off items at The Journal, 210 W. North 1st Street, Seneca • 8 am – 5 pm Mon – Fri and 8-10 am Saturdays.
To sponsor a child’s Christmas needs, simply select a child and add them to your cart and check-out. There is of course no cost to sponsor!
The child’s wish list items are merely suggestions and you are not obligated to buy those specific items, but please be sure to purchase only age-appropriate items. No gift cards please.
You are also welcome to come by The Journal office to sponsor.
• If you’d like to sponsor multiple children, please consider selecting children from the same family number, this helps to ensure all the children in the family receive an equal Christmas.
• All gifts must be new, please do not wrap.
• If desired, you may include gift wrap for the parents.
Gifts must be received by Wednesday, Dec. 11. Please place them in a large black bag, mark with the Child’s Number and bring it to The Journal.
